How we make money

The short answer, as of July 20, 2026: two affiliate relationships, disclosed wherever they appear. Here is exactly what that means.

Today

• The Shrimp Farm (a tracked vendor). As of July 18, 2026 we participate in The Shrimp Farm's affiliate program. Outbound links to their listings carry a referral tag, and if you buy something after clicking one, they pay us a commission (currently 10% of the sale). It costs you nothing extra — prices on their site are the same either way. Every page with these links carries a disclosure note.
• Chewy (a supplies retailer — not a tracked vendor). As of July 20, 2026 we participate in Chewy's affiliate program. Chewy sells aquarium supplies, not live shrimp, so it never appears in the price tables. Where a morph page suggests supplies (food, test kits, water conditioner), those Chewy links carry a referral tag, and if you buy something after clicking one, Chewy pays us a small commission (currently 1% of the sale) at no extra cost to you. Every page with these links carries a disclosure note.
• No ads. There is no advertising anywhere on the site. (We have applied to an ad network; if ads are ever added, this page and the privacy policy will say so first.)
• No other vendor payments. No vendor pays to be tracked, listed, or ranked. Links to every vendor other than The Shrimp Farm are plain links with no tracking or referral parameters, and we earn nothing from them.

Affiliate commissions are the site's only revenue today; remaining running costs are paid out of pocket.

Why you can still trust the numbers

The Shrimp Farm gets the same treatment as every vendor on this site: identical daily collection, identical per-shrimp math, identical ranking rules. They were tracked here long before any money was involved, and the pipeline that produces the numbers has no knowledge of who pays us. When their price isn't the cheapest, the site says so — that's the product.

Any new ads or affiliate relationships will be disclosed here and in the privacy policy before they appear on the site.

Commitments that hold either way

• Paid relationships will never affect per-shrimp prices, leaderboard order, rankings, or which vendors appear. Every number on this site is produced by the same automated collection and normalization pipeline described in the methodology, and is never edited by hand.
• Every vendor gets identical treatment — same daily collection, same per-shrimp math, same grade rules — whether or not they ever pay us anything.
• Accuracy comes first. A wrong number is worse than no number, which is why listings whose pack size can't be verified are shown as pack prices and excluded from per-shrimp stats rather than guessed.
